MEET THE BUSINESS: MIDTOWN, OKC

Some shops sell golf gear. Swing Eazy built a clubhouse.

Walk into their Midtown storefront, and you’ll find racks of vintage apparel, a wall of collected hats, a full golf simulator glowing in the back, and a sewing machine that’s turned more than a few family keepsakes into something you’d actually carry on a course. Josh Sallee runs tournaments, rents the sim, stitches custom head covers, and designs an in-house golf brand built around what he and his team think is genuinely cool.

THE STORY: FROM A BABY ONESIE TO THE BRITISH OPEN

It started as a simple idea: make head covers out of material people already own. Then a customer asked Josh to build one out of a baby onesie. That one went viral, and Brooks Koepka’s wife saw it.

She reached out. Suddenly Josh had a box of her son’s onesies on his cutting table. The Swing Eazy team turned them around as fast as they could and shipped them back, and Koepka carried them at the British Open.

MORE THAN A PRO SHOP

The storefront does a lot of work. There’s a floor of vintage apparel and collected hats, a full simulator you can rent by the hour, and a sewing table in the back where the custom head covers get made — bring in a onesie, a jersey, an old jacket, and it comes back as something you’d actually carry on a course.

Beyond the shop, Josh runs his own tournaments and designs the Swing Eazy label: an in-house take on what golf gear should look like, built around what he and his team think is genuinely cool rather than what the big brands say sells.

Ten dollars gets you ten swings at the simulator. Land a hole-in-one and Josh hands you $500, cash. There’s been exactly one winner so far, which means the challenge is still wide open, and honestly, the money is only half of it. The real draw is the crowd. Bring your friends, take turns, heckle each other through all ten swings. It’s the kind of thing that turns a quick stop into an entire afternoon.
